BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS
BABY's ROOM BEFORE:
When I first walked in and saw the house I was agast... However when I realized there was a crib in an adjacent room that made me feel like it was best to not only clean, but disinfect the area as well!!... The room was in dire need of a cleansing - well a deep cleansing and what I call a -"lift-up-the-rug-get-on-my-hands-and-knees-scrub-the-floor" type cleaning... so I did it!. Took me about 2 hours to organize, pick up, straighten, fold, and ultimately complete this one room. But it was totally worth it and gratifying.. I totally enjoyed this challenge!!
As you can see - the room was a real mess, and it is in and of itself a beautiful room. Quite an amazing layout. I wanted to bring back that lustre it once had. I saw something there.
I worked hard and long until I got the vision out of my head and into the room. Then made the bed with coordinating sheets and cases for the pillows to match the baby's linen as close as possible. And even cleaned out the crib for her - so she could sleep in the crib again and be happy and bouncy once more.
That baby is too adorable!! It was my pleasure to clean her room out for her. It looked great (as you are about to see. And I felt awesome to have done it! |

BABYs ROOM AFTER: :-)
Here we have 2 hours later - We totally cleaned out the drawers and made the dresser a bit more presentable as well as shined, and washed the mirror - then cleaned and redefined all of the babyclothes - folded them extra small to fit more clothes in a smatter of space. Organized and detailed the entire side of the room that we have in the "before" pohoto above -- Check out the difference we made here!! :-)
Here we took the babys crib set and matched it as close as we could to the nanny's bed linen to pull the coordinance of the room together - and we even did a nice disinfection job on all of her precious little toys, so that the baby does not have to worry about breathing in all of the dust that once had been floating thru the air.
She is good to go and her room is bright happy and healthy once more.. I pat myself on the back when I see my jobs come to life like this!! My trainee seems pleased with her work as did I and the entire household. The baby was quite happy too.. I love that!!

Master Bedroom Before:
Knowing we had a big job ahead of us, we began to sort through all of the things around the room, we cleared out the dresser drawers and removed everything from shelves and the closet even to begin anew... sorrt of like a demolition crew to make way for the better brighter newer version of the same thing. We turned on some music and started at it! From the looks of this we did not know what we were in for until nightfall. Then I realized it was either move on or continue the next day(s) ahead. I chose to do both. This room was in need indeed. :-) And here I thought the baby's room was a challenge... wow... this wa indeed going to be awesome fun and quite a workout!!... We will need organizers, rolling baskets and drawers, and oh yeah!!, some of those sticky notes. You will see why later -- :_) When we had arrived, we were greeted by this young lady (sister-in-law) and she said "are you the cleaning service?" I said "yes" She goes..."Oh thank god! Please help us!!" and let us in..she went in and was sitting on what I thought was the bed (it was btw), looked exhausted, I said "I am here to relieve you now... you can go relax" Then we jumped right in! Even though we didn't know where to begin - I delegated to the trainee, and we just basically tuned everyone out and went knutts!! That room too another 3 hours with the scrubbing, disinfecting, folding, refolding, sweeping, "rag mopping" on my hands and knees, (My specialty) and basically doing what we needed to do to make this house a home again -- come on there was a baby involved., and the sweetest little face I have seen since my grandson's and I thought she deserved it, and her parents (her father) was such a nice guy I figured hell... lets do this one real good.. let's do the HELL out of this one!! So we did.. I lost all of 4 pounds that day -- So it was a win/win situation!! ..

Now about 3 - 4 hours later the Master bedroom was completed. And all of a sudden it looked GREAT! We had gotten there early in the day to complete that room and the bathroom... the bathroom I did not photograph for privacy reasons.. But when I saw what I had accomplished in that master bedroom even *I* was amazed!!
The first thing I did here was take the existing sheets(new in the package) and put them on the bed - hospital corners and tight! Smoothed them out like(no BETTER) than hotel matrons and made sure the quarters would bounce off of them!. Then I colour coordinated the pillowcases alternating them as there were several pillows on the bed - so I got creative ;) and even carried the colour scheme to match the run in that room!
The entire side of the room that at first was full of papers, disorganization, clothes, bodies, and lord knows what else on the side has been completely cleaned, and the windows washed, to let the wonderful God's light into the room. Took a hose to the A/C in the window as well (Washed it) and disinfected it, even cleaned the filter in it (as well as the babys room) free of charge. As I think it was well deserved in this particular case!. Used my "White wash it" cleaning fluid on the baseboard(s) and wall area that had the most dirt and what have you on it to make it Bright again - and the made the bed with 2 comforters that were the same - I used the green side of one on the bed itsedlf, then carried the color coordinated red side to the bottom of the bed in a sort of Bed N Breakfast fold down across the bottom style. Made the bed look very very inviting!
with the afore mentioned plastic roller drawers et al, I used them as organizational tools for the parents to know what I have done by putting little "stick it" notes with the contents of each drawer. as you can see here I even made them look pretty attractive to visitors. They do not look like the ordinary plastic wheel carts u see... this is someone's bedroom - I had to made it look very functional - so I decided to stack them in a way that made em look sort of "Shelf storage unit w/ drawers like" Before I left I made sure to let the gentleman know where everything was how I had it, the way I folded it, and also where he needed to put everything -- The closets in both the master bdrm and baby room were also blowtorched and refinished.. They came out awesome, but for privacy reasons again, I will not show those fotos -- you have to trust me. They are well organized and look awesome! All in all I would say the time I spent in this home were very rewarding and made SUCH a difference in *my* life because I know that if I can think it - I can see it - if I can see it - i can reach for it - if I can reach for it - i can achieve it! AND I DID!!
The gentlemen saw what I had done and was flabbergasted!.
That alone made my day!. It is all worth it in the end when that happens. I love to make them smile - and from the looks of it they LOVE to smile!!
Thank you.
